Sherry, I agree that OMAN AT THE WELL is a strange color combination. I have thought about getting rid of it for that reason, but it also stays for that reason. I love the flat blooms of WANDA LOU LOVELY, too bad that it is not vigorous. I will have to look it up but it certainly looks like a Carpenter intro.

Here are my Ws:

WILD CHERRY WINE: An excellent Bud Bennett intro. One of my favorites of his.

WEBSTER'S PINK WONDER: This one puts on a show every year. I've seen some of its offspring in other photos and I have been tempted to purchase so I can compare, but this does really well for me.

WIDOW'S WALK: Has taken a while to settle in to start looking like its picture. It is well budded.

WOLVERINE: Another one that took a while to settle in. I have been rewarded ever since.

WOODSIDE LUSTRE: A great little red.

WHITE EYES PINK DRAGON: Wonderful overall plant.

WOMAN AT THE WELL: I really divided it two years ago and is on the come back.

I have more Ws but I guess I did not get pictures of them all.

Sherry - I wish Wanda Lou Lovely was a better performer for you. I love its flowers! The colors on Winifred Esther are pretty!

David - I have several kids of Webster's Pink Wonder, and I like them all. You say it puts on a good show. It's only registered as having 5 buds per scape. Does it have more than that for you? Your clump of White Eyes Pink Dragon is nice. It's a child of WPW. Mine had short scapes last year. I've never cared for Woman At the Well because of its color, and it may be the only Emmerich that hasn't attracted me. I like the looks of Woverine!

Watermelon Summer put on a nice show last summer with bud counts in the mid teens and strong rebloom. It's been slow to multiply though.

White Ambrosia was a delight with many gorgeous blooms throughout the summer. Bud count was low on the initial scapes, but it had a strong rebloom with 17-18 buds per scape.

Here's a triple of White Ambrosia. It was one of my most photographed daylilies last season.

White Eyes Pink Dragon had a poor year with short scapes, few buds, and many fans that did not even scape.

White Tooth also had a rough year. I'm glad so many of its offspring did well.

Wigglesworth has done very well for one still being grown in a pot.

Wild Red Heart looked more like a pink heart in the drought last year. It only put up two scapes our of a clump of eight.

Wizard's Wish never has a lot of buds, but its a welcome sight in the late season.

Waves Become Wings is a reliable late. Last year it had short scapes.

Woman in Red had tall scapes but very few buds last season.

Wonder of It All had blooms that opened well most of the time last year. Short scapes though.

I always like seeing Wild Cherry Wine--so pretty! White Ambrosio is a wonderful white. I also like Woman in Red and Skater. Wolverine has been a great parent and grower for us, but I don't love the flower.

The scape on Wandering Werribee is shorter than we like, but it's a good grower.

War Horse is probably on the way out. We have better reds in the garden. I needs to be moved anyway since it was in the crush zone.

We ended up with 2 Warmer Climes. Both were bonus plants (different years) from the hybridizer.

I like the brownish shades of Weasel Teeth.

Westbourne Frills and Thrills

Whatchamacallit is a small flowered orange.

What's Up, Professor is being choked out by a vine Bob planted.

Whiskered Tree Swift isn't a great grower here. We keep it because it can have pink teeth.

Wickedly Wild and Wonderful

I like the shape of Winged Serpent.

Wispy Rays was struggling in its original spot so we moved it. It was doing better and producing some lovely flowers, and then it got crushed. We will rescue it this season.

Wrangler Red is new. I hope it shapes up.

Sherry: I like the bold color on When Pigs Fly. Too bad it's a weak grower.......David: I grew Wild Cherry Wine for many years then we had one too many bad winter and it succumbed. It never did grow that vigorously for me, but flowered well on what it had.....Nan: Whatchamacallit is cute and I like Wispy Rays as well. I like the "ray" type pattern in the middle.......Brad: Woodside Amythyst stops me in my tracks. So beautiful. Another Apps daylily that is doing well. I wish his new introductions weren't so expensive because even for my climate, his daylilies can have good "bones"........My only contribution is Wayah Valley. If there is anyone left here that doesn't know what it looks like and how much I treasure it, let me know.....I'll bore you with its praise-lol..........Maryl

Yes, it's hard to find, but as coincidence would have it I called the one place I know carried it today for a friend and asked if she still had it. Maryl - Wynyah Valley looks bright and beautiful in your photo. It's one that's fairly sunfast for you, isn't it? Thanks for the comment about White Ambrosia. I love the very large and ruffly flowers. It does well here, but it don't know how it would fare in Indiana. It might be one I'd have to grow in a pot and bring into a garage or basement in winter.

White Icon is really pretty. Does it get 34 inches tall for you? Warmer Climes did not bloom at all for me last year. I hope it survived the winter in its pot. I do like its unusual color combo. Two of the older ones you posted, I grew many years ago and liked. I sold William Austin Norris when I added pinks of a more true color. Web of Intrigue died when that part of the yard became too shady.

White Icon is good height--at least 30. William Austin Norris I've always thought of as a coral pink blend. Wayne's World has interesting color, but is smaller than I like.

Mantis, I, too, like your photo of Webster girls! I am glad you posted Willow Dean Smith. I did not take a photo last season which makes me think it was another no show or subpar bloomer.

Kate - I'm thinking Willow Dean Smith either didn't bloom or bloomed very sparsely last since since I didn't photograph it either.
