I have a brown bronze color, which fits the Spanish inspired design, but it is a living finish so iit s showing patina on the most used levers. Didn't realize the patina would show up so quickly in less than 2 years. My plan is to switch out regularly used levers with the ones that are rarely used and get a more even patina throughout the house!

No. It’s going to be a completely different look. The polished vs the satin finish is rarely used together.

(I admit I’m function over form. I just had to walk through our house that has polished chrome plumbing fixtures and bathroom cabinet hardware, satin nickel kitchen hardware, and brass door hardware, some patina’d 1959 original and some lacquered 1980-90s from the PO’s remodelings, because I could have sworn the interior bathroom doorknobs were chrome. They aren’t, they match the brass knob on the other side. Should I have been paying more attention when we bought the house?)

Karen it’s like asking the Internet what color car you should buy. Buy what you like! I find brushed nickel looks like the early 2000s and every commercial space. I love chrome hardware which is against trend. So be it- my house my rules. Without seeing your house it’s hard to provide any relevant help.

Chrome is most likely your best option.

What do you think of Matt Black?

Matte black looks great … until it gets water spots. I could not get my husband or my daughter to wipe water spots, so it does not stay pristine. You can use Magic Eraser to get those off, at least on mine.

Matte black would definitely be an option. Depending on the profile it is suitable for multiple design applications.
