A Mat— suggestions?

No, other than a covered entry. I do not think a couple of plants will add a welcoming feeling.

A porch is welcoming, residents and visitors do not have to be exposed to the weather.

I think a welcome mat would be nice, and perhaps a friendly hello decor. You don’t mention if cabin is just for leisure, fishing, etc. A lantern light maybe?

A welcome mat and a long, rustic bench would look nice. The colors are a bit wonky, is the deck stained green? I don’t love the red, maybe embrace the green/taupe/brown colors and paint the door a bright forest green? House numbers and a light too!

Since you're renovating the interior, my suggestions are easy fixes.

- Add some detail for more interest

- Paint the window frames black and frame with wide plank to enlarge all frames

- I suggest you paint a darker gray for more contrast

- Paint all trim white

- Paint the front door black

- Lower your light pendant and replace if it's too small (black)

- Paint the porch floor a lighter gray or sand down and stain gray

- Fence-in your AC unit

- You can install a flower box or not...

- Work on some easy country style landscaping such as grasses, etc.
