Wall color is determined by many things . In bedrooms I usually use the bedding for ideas for wall color. Are you wanting to do all the bedrooms the same color or different for each space . I use this color for clients when all one neutral color is needed . I usually cut it 25-50% dependnig on the space or need. IMO a true neurtal that looks great with woods of all kinds and with other colors in the space THis color is from Benjamin Moore

Do you already have bedding? Usually you take cues from that for wall colors. What has inspired the choice for blue-green? Another option would be to paint the rooms white for maximum flexibility and let the children choose their bedding. At that age they're probably going to want characters, and they're going to change their minds every couple years about what they like. If the walls are white you can change the bedding without having to repaint.
