It is the end of February, 2024 and most of my Old Garden Tea roses are fully in bud and to my surprise 'Quartre Saisons Blanc Mosseaux' (4 seasons blooming white Moss rose) is also in full bud. I kept track of its' blooming frequency ( I kept a 2 year journal of the bloom frequency of more than 200 roses within 14 classes) and this rose is evergreen where I live near San Francisco, California. comparatively my neighbors Austin roses are still dormant and will be for a couple more months. A rosebush cannot bloom in until photosynthesis occurs

All parts of this plant are beautiful, foliage is a wonderful hue, the sepals and pedicels have green moss, fragrant of spruce needles.

Each bloom cycle is prolonged by the presence of side buds. I bought my plant from High Country Roses a couple of years ago. 90% of my Old Rose collection are Old Garden Tea roses, but I am so glad I branched out and bought this amazing Moss rose.
