I think a little fun/different. Good way to show some personality.

My concern was that they might block the lovely view, but they look surprisingly subtle in the mock-up. I like them a lot. I may have them hanging too low here.

Love them! I say go for it. And the fact that there's a pattern on the inside too is very cool.

I absolutely love the lights.

I can't tell from your pics - does your counter have some grey shadings in it? If not, I don't see any grey anywhere so I'm wondering....or maybe that second pic is the rest of your kitchen and the stone over the sink and the rug and the hall paint is grey? Then they'd look good and blend in.. The beige pattern on the light underside is wonderful.

So the seating is just the stools on the outside of the peninsula? You have two potlights in front of the window? What are those lighting? And it looks like you have two other electrical outlets in front of the beam? What is going there?

I'd also think about a stainless panel for your dishwasher. The white doesn't match the rest of the appliances.

The counter top is Taj Mahal so it has beigey and grey tones through out and the back splash stone is on the grey side too. Hall paint hasn’t been decided yet …lots of things are still unfinished haha. The electrical outlets in front of the beam are where the pendants will hang from the rest is recessed lighting. The dishwasher is slightly a whiter white than the other appliances but in real life you can’t tell I think the lighting in this picture really caught that
