Not wild about the marble like white tile in this basket weave. I'd go for plain black and white ceramic tile.

I like basketweave. I don't like that it is not solid white.

My guess is that all the " looks like marble" stuff is going to date rather soon. Solid white is a timeless choice.

The classic Keystones colorbody porcelain windmill/basketweave in black and white has been made by Daltile for 76 years. And is still being made. You can also do a custom pattern, with any of their colors.

The idea is fine, but, I don't like the scale of the basketweave. The dot is the same width of the bars. Looks for a more traditional scale, there are plenty.

I prefer classic black and white basket weave too.

Some things are fortunately not subject to design fads and trends.

I did the black marble in mine.

It does etch.

try the porcelain if you like the white. Porcelain for the shower floor would be much easier to care for

if you want marble, do the carrara.

I particularly like this Roca Tile basket weave for your situation because the grey and white together give off a marble color vibe. I stayed in an 1890s farm house with this in the bathroom and it was lovely. I'm also a fan of the classic black and white keystone below. I have the original in one of my bathrooms, though it is from 1938.

It's a primary bath.

In a heartbeat I'd put hardwood on the floor, and the penny or basket in the shower.

Plenty of baths were once hardwood! and few flooring selections are as timeless. What/where is the entrance and the adjoining flooring?

With reasonable adults? A bath floor gets no wetter than your kitchen floor.

Failing that? A hex a bit larger and a warm gray grout isn't huge maintenance and is still classic

This and similar tile patterns are really tied to a certain period of history. Not sure you would refer to them as classic. That being said the pattern is relatively simple and not what I would call trendy. It's a goodlooking tile. So, if you like it I would say use it.
