I have a Whitehaus fireclay apron-front and love it. I have a stainless grid in the bottom. If you get a fireclay, get the grid.

We also have a Whitehaus fireclay and I love the look and one big sink. No damage after 8 years, however I hate the grid. All of the intersectiong joints need to be washed daily (on both sides) or gunk builds up. And I am forever chasing things that fall under it. Sounds minor but it does get frustrating. And we didn’t install a disposal becasue I was afraid of crackling. When I see stains a quick swish of a bleach solution brings it to new shiny white. It is the one thing I would do differently though. I cook mostly with cast iron and Le Creuset so I cannot risk removing grid. My next kitchen I would choose a large single basin stainless.
