Grasscloth

Has anyone ever attempted to use a decent quality grasscloth wall covering behind a sink area? Do you think it would be ok if it got splattered or wet sometimes? What about any other splatters like food or grease? I have no experience with it, how durable and easily cleaned up is it?

I have a Phillip Jeffries grasscloth in my dining room and remember when the wallpaper guy put it up the first thing he said is "leave it alone....it's very fussy!"...getting it wet is definitely not recommended, however, there are some grasscloth look alike wallpapers that might work...
