(edit: additional photo added to comments) We are getting the old masonite siding and all trim changed out and they are replacing all the rotting wood areas. I need to figure out what to do with this end cap area. For context we have a really wonkily built cape cod house from late 70s. I really hate this area (and this whole design with the dentil honestly) but my husband won’t let us get rid of the dentil. Is there any way to make this end area better ? A different shape piece they can cut and place there ? I attached photos of the problem area and also a design idea in pencil? Not sure if this would even be an improvement , or if this area can be improved much. Any thoughts welcome. Thanks!
