I'd start the design at the front door to welcome guests. (You don't need railings?)

New deck, I would want some shade...a pergola.

I'd add an indoor/outdoor rug to ground whatever furniture you choose and maybe down by the dock some faux grass.

Love the view...do you have deep water access from the river? People think I am nuts, but I love the smell of the marsh at low tide.
