Enhance the stone with landscaping.

Depending on your siding color, just paint it and manage it with landscaping.

@just_jani ooh! Hadn't thought about painting it. Do you happen to know if that would affect anything later? Like if we were able to do a facia or something?

What is the exterior cladding? Is the sheathing flush with the concrete?

A "facia" would occur at the ends of the rafters.

If you ended up doing some sort of covering like stone or brick, you'd want to install metal lathe (I think) and that would give the mortor / stucco something to grip.

Again - I suspect paint, hardscaping and landscaping will get you what you want and you'll ultimately forget about it.

Get someone GOOD with landscaping, don't scrimp on the stairs, porch, etc - it will draw the eye.

What kind of cladding is the rest of the house getting? Could cladding be extended down over the concrete?

Hi everyone! We will be using vinyl siding. It likely won't be able to extend onto the concrete. I'm loving the ideas! Thank you!! We will be doing some landscaping, so maybe I'm just over focused on all of the concrete, but it's just so ugly right now.

The mistake is not allowing the wood framing to overhang the foundation enough that siding could be attached to furring strips on the concrete. You might still be able to use an Azek cellular PVC water table and use thin brick/stone or stucco on the concrete or grind and fill the rough spots and paint it..

Paint goes a long way. Pick a color darker than your siding. For example, if you have beige siding, paint the foundation a darkish taupe. If blue siding, the foundation navy.

Then, plant shrubs, which always look better than foundation.
