something in the blue family to compliment the orange brick.

Paint the door a color you love

and get a patterned fabric in the same color family for the bench.

Better yet, go out and buy a ready made bench cushion you like

and get a qt. of exterior paint and DIY.

Paint the door blue, and add a blue/orange striped bench cushion.

Royal blue and yellow Then replace the little pot of greenery with a big blue pot full of striking yellow flowers.

Add pillows on the bench with your interior color pallette unless someone would snatch them

Leave the bench cushion and add a couple of accent pillows. What you should consider is painting the front door a color to work with the brick. Don't forget pots of greenery.

Omigosh, all that beautiful brick and a very nice door and bench. It has lots of style, just needs the .finishing touches. Do you like any of the mock-ups people have posted? I don't care for Iron Gate at all with the white or the brick.

I would paint the door, add a couple of pillows as others have suggested and a couple of pots with flowering plants (or even just greenery. You could easily paint the door AND the bench if you want more pizzaz. I thought a small awning or shade on the outside of the window might look nice, but I cannot find ANY pics, so maybe that's a bad idea, lol.

I like all of these colors with reclaimed brick:

And black door or dark charcoal would look wonderful, too.

The window in the door you have is fine.

You can go on paint company websites and use their virtual painters to try out different colors. You just upload a pic of your home and it lets you paint different colors to try.

What does the entire front look like? Knowing this might help with the color decision for your bench and door.

Green is my go to outdoor cushion color. It always compliments nearby plans or shrubs. Don't get a dark evergreen. More of a medium green. Get a door mat similar in color to the bench.

Live with this for a while and then decide whether you want to paint your front door. I think it looks fine in white.

If you come back for door suggestions you know someone is going to say you need a new bench to go with a new door color and change the color of your bricks while you are at it and then change the color of your roof. Your home is lovely. Don't be overwhelmed by too much unsolicited advice.

I agree about a color for the door and from what I can see of the house any color will work. Then add a cushion in a vibrant print with the door color in it somewhere . Neiter the door or the bench are modern BTW

Yes, almost any color for the front door would be better than the white you have now. And the door window is fine, it’s the lack of color on the door that’s the problem! Pick your door color, paint, and then get a cushion that works with the door color.

I think many people use the word "modern" to mean current, not modern in the way others use the term, as in MCM.
