Drapes are going to block a lot of your light. Doesn't look like you have much room to stack them of off the glass.

What are you trying to achieve?

I had a similar set up in my previous house, but the outside "windows" were single doors. I had room to put a nice full panel at either end and not have it block the glass/light. For sun/heat control I had door mounted Hunter Douglas Duette shades (with bottom-up/top-down option).

First decide what you want curatins or draperies to cover. Take into account any stackback meaning if glass will be covered even if the panels are pulled as far open as possible.

Ta da--the rods need to be wide enough to hold the panels.

Or are you asking about ow heffty you need a rod to be? That depends o the fabric for the draperies.

what about a ceiling track system with sheers or light filtering drapes? it would totally elevate the whole space

Privacy isn’t a huge issue but we get direct sunlight in the afternoon so it’s really a matter of blocking the sun. I really didn’t think about how much of the glass would be covered when stacked. Very good points! Light filtering drapes or sheers maybe?

Then get window film that filters light, UV, and heat. .

And since you want Transitional interior decor, the look of no window treatments is trending big time in high end design. Consider bare windows and French doors for this wall.
