Black grounds a space. It makes a room seem larger if you use light thngs above it. Or it creates a jewel box effect if used with other similar dark colors.

Black will not be a problem as much as walking on pebbled floors in bare feet. Ouchhhie.

Have you tried a tile visualizer? That might help you decide. I personally an am a fan of black hex floors. I wanted them in our primary bath, but compromised with DH and did a lighter floor in that room. I did use black tiles in hall bathroom however. I have found that they’re easy to keep clean and haven’t had an issues with lint or dust showing up on them… I see more of that on my light floor honestly. Our bath is probably a bit larger than the one you’re working on, but here’s how ours turned out

I design with black floors often. It will not make the space feel smaller as long as it is balanced with the other finishes.

There are lots of nice bathrooms with black floors, but for my own bathrooms I would go with light(er) colored tile. Doesn't matter what the rest of us like! Pick the tile that you like and works with the overall design of the bathroom.

Sometimes you like something, but it's just not practical. Or there are other people with experience with it that have helpful views to help you decide. Believe me, I will do what I want in the end after I've considered all options and have learned as much as possible. : )

Those who have skin - especially dry skin - will find that they have more visible dust on a dark floor. Donning and doffing pants is especially dust-making, with all that skin having fabric drawn against it. If you ever use powder, it will be visible on the floor when you use it, as well.
