I'm looking at different outdoor pizza ovens - propane powered - and I'm wondering what people's experiences are......I'm looking at an Ooni Koda or a Grozney Roccbox, but I'm also interested in other recommendations for a propane pizza oven if you have any. I don't like very thin, crispy pizza crusts; my preference is for an "ordinary" thin (1/8") to pan pizza style, depending on my mood.

We've had the Ooni Koda 16 for a few years now and make pizza often.

In addition to the turning peel, we use pizza spinners, which are quicker and easier to use than just the turning peel, but you have to wait 10 seconds before you can use the spinners, as they are used on top of the pizza instead of under it.

We have the Ooni Koda 16. We have been very happy with it. There is a learning curve. We used to make pizza on our Kamado Joe but the Ooni is so much better. We have made both Neapolitan and New York style and both came out great. If you go with the Ooni definitely get the pizza turning peel. Makes it so much easier to turn the pizza.

I have the Ooni Pro and also like it. I used wood at first but switched to propane since it's much easier.

My son has had the Ooni Koda gas for several years now and he recommends getting a door for it (through a third party seller) and a pizza turning peel is a must.

Any oven works fine for Detroit deep dish pizza as long as you have a steel pan.
