You could go either light or dark.

The visializer covered the carpeting, too - but hopefully this gives you the general idea.

Id take the light one. then find a couple mats in mid tones ..geometric pattern or the like. will the walls get painted? Better lighting and refresh of the walls might be the first couple things I'd do.

Are you doing only the kitchen ..or the whole area?

At least buy all you need now.. for color matching certainty…and layout with right direction for easy add on later

First the tile has to be removed and you will never match the other floor next to it so IMO wait until you can do all the floors when you redo that kitchen . If the kitchen reno is in the near future then wait to get all the same floor when the redo is done . I would do a bit darker than the cabinets for wood look LVP but until you have a plan for the whole job there is no real way to suggest floor color. This is not something you do piecemeal it is all or nothhing. . Adding flooring on top of old flooring creates lots of issues in a kitchen like the DW and fridge no longer fit . This needs some real thought as to what you want down the road . Right now the tiles are pretty neutral , stainless is always neutral. If this is a space new to you all the more reason to stop and wait for at lest 3-6 months before even buying the flooring.

I'm with Patricia and the others, wait until you can do it all.

In the meantime I would recolor the grout. It can really improve the look of the space and is a really easy and inexpensive fix (<$100.00 DIY / Done over a weekend).

LVP colors and styles don't last long in stores, so if you do intend to cover the whole area at some point you should buy enough for all of it at the same time. If you go to buy more in a couple years it is unlikely that you will be able to buy more.

If you go over top of the kitchen tile with it now and do the rest later there will be a difference in the height from the kitchen to the rest. And as Patricia says, it traps the dishwasher and frig such that you can't get them out to repair or replace them. I know this because the previous owners of our house put down a layer of flooring on top of the existing. The dishwasher barely works, but I can't get it out to have it fixed. Or I guess I could if I broke off the legs - but then how would it go back in? I'm hoping it can limp along until I remodel in a couple years. So don't do that. :-)
