Neither go with the tile and doing LVP on the stairs will require new treads and the nosing costs a ton of money . I would do the same color for the floorand treads as the railing.

Will you be keeping the black painted trim? Or painting that white?

I am not a fan of LVP. My big concern is that the marble tile you have is gorgeous. Is it possible to have the stair treads made with this same tile?

I tried to find stair treads that do not match the floors and that is a tough image to find. I think it looks nicer when the stair treads match the floor.

garage is another area - where there is some carpet. Plan to do carpet or some tiles there.

Solid treads that match the floor color. I see a lot of detail in the stair system. Black wood is termed 'false treads" (stained anything black) as the system was designed for such. Carpet is installed against. It's an affordable method in some cases.
