My first impression of your moth was crambiid snout rather than tortrix, I will work on it in coming days. The species you cite does have a range surrounding MI and host is common pine, so a more generally stated range would be accurate and does not eliminate SW MI for that species.

The weather here has been weird/atypical to say the least. I have been seeing/attracting moths since March 3. I also found this during my searches as a possibility, but it too is very uncommonly reported in my area - shagbark hickory leafroller (Pseudexentera cressoniana).

I much prefer P. cressoniana for the ID.

Your photo is relatively good but variability may preclude ID to species level.

And "a leafroller moth" would be OK for common name.
