Mine is in ICU because the voles chomped its roots in her first year. She did not even get to grow.

I also heard this lady looks best in a group of 2-3 for stronger/mass impact.

I need to move mine to full sun. It used to be HUGE 10 years ago as own root, and now it shrank due to my cold zone 5 winter, which makes it easier to move.

Beautiful! Lady of Shallot was my first DA and the first rose I planted myself. Even now more than 10 years and over 100 roses later she is still in my top 5.

I got an own root Lady of Shallot this spring . Still in a pot . Dont know if I should leave it potted up or plant in ground after my disappointment with Olivia Austin . Does yours throw octopus canes ? How's the blooming ?

pink rose, yes it does ocotopus canes all the time, in fact i have one on the side of the house doing exactly that, no blooms. for this year though, i did spray some phosphorus after the vegetative part grew on this one, i'm not sure if that made it bloom or i'm just lucky honestly

I think l will just leave it potted up and see how it does .Right now it is full of buds since it came from Heirloom Roses .

Its a good thing that I love this rose because she is a horrible mean witch to prune, ouch

pink rose, here's a thorny one for you, the king of thorns. after dealing with this one, everything else seem thornless

Oh I think that LoS has the iind of thorns that grab and hang on to you. Prunning her this year I was literally held by hair, arm and shoulder. I was ready to call in the Marines. I think that to me she is worse than Munstead because she is taller with longer canes.

OMG The Country Parson has vicious thorns . I shovel pruned Munstead Wood & Cary Grant for the thorns .

Does Lady Of Shalott ever bloom in the summer ? or in Spring/Fall only ?

LOS is a new to me rose, planted bare root this Feb. there are buds all over it. it is two to three times as tall at the other DA bareroots planted at the same time in the same garden bed. Can’t wait to see it bloom. Yours is absolutely stunning. Wow look at the Country Parsons thorns. Need some Rose Gauntlet gloves

Lady of Shalott is my favorate DA rose regarding the form: shrub and bloom. And the healthiest too. Not rigid yet not drooping.

It produces first bloom today . I really love the color

Forever, it is those drooping canes that got me. Good thing yhat she is such a beautiful girl lol
