I like the idea of keeping the red door, but, maybe a bit lighter and more of a rusty type red. What you have there now, doesnt show up and it door kind of shows up as being dark, and unwelcoming. You dont want the door to blend in, you want it to stand out..

Several of the Behr Inspiration photos show N480-7 MIDNIGHT BLUE which would be consistent with the roof color.

If you are wanting the door to be more visible than it is, a brighter color would be best.

Try a bright red (BM Heritage Red), yellow, orange, green blue. Navy, black, dark green, gray, will just blend into the house because of the way the entry is recessed.

Would that top one match the navy awning?

We’ll you really don’t want to match the navy awning if you want the door to be more prominent. The navy looks black to me so as long as you use a bright highly saturated blue it would probably look fine.

Honestly, they are both lovely colors, but they're not going to do much for your entry.

Why do bright colors scare you? It's just on the door, not the whole house.

You might try one of them, and after a while, if you really hate it, it's an easy fix to repaint.
