I don't know what to say I have never seen anything like this . I will say garbage disposals are IMO one thing to eliminate always, not sure about the rest . Maybe get some inspector to check this out .

All those "features" require electricity, and the outlets and equipment have to go somewhere. Under the sink is fairly usual. Get rid of the disposal and smart faucet. A dishwasher requires an outlet and hoses, but you will still have room.

I am questioning mostly the wiring coming up under the floor for the D/W. That's the real problem for the drawer. Thank you.

Pull out drawer will either be shorter - ending at the depth of the hole with wiring, or it will need to have a U shape cut out around the hole. Looks like plumbing pipe & disposal are off to side - for a left sided sink drain I assume - so the result is good, usable space for middlle & right side of space.

Looks like a normal under sink installation. Most trades do not do things to maximize space and/or looks, but do what is easiest for them to complete the job. If someone has specific requirements, those need to be stated upfront and discussed with the specific trades on how to achieve those results.

Make sure your spray nozzle pulls out far enough on the smart faucet. I had a couple installs where there was so much "stuff" the weighted spray line would get hung up.

As soon as the word ”disposal” is typed, the few anti-disposal people on this forum pop their heads up like prairie gophers out of the sand. Do not get rid of the disposal. However, I am not a fan of smart faucets because I’ve seen too many of them malfunction when meanwhile a regular faucet would keep going with no problems for a decade or two. But see how it goes. So the electric receptacles need to be there and there is no way around it.

I think the previous comment about doing a cut-out in the drawer is your best bet. If that does not work, you may have to forego the pull-out drawer. In the scheme of things, the pull-out drawer is a very small part of your kitchen reno. Right now it seems a huge problem because you are in the midst of it. Once it is all complete and you have settled in, your perspective will be better. In any case there are hundreds of under-sink organizers online, and a lot of IG videos about them to help you.

It is true the more 'smart' a kitchen the more things there are to go wrong that never did before. I don't think may people care what it all looks like under the sink, but even so all that electricity where water will likely flood some day, frightens me. I've never known an under sink cabinet not to have at least one flood... I grew up in a dozen homes and they all had disposals. I can't fathom not having one--if you have the option. We don't have one here due to our septic system. We manage. Not a choice I would make however.

You wanted Stuff. Stuff swallows space. what you have is pretty normal.

Can you fit a standard kitchen garbage can in that cabinet? You are lucky! After a 6 month kitchen renovation 20 years ago, I discovered that I couldn’t fit a garbage can under my sink. I sat down on the floor and cried. In know. First World Problem, right????? I am ashamed of that, but 6 months is a loooooong time. What did I do? Called my plumber, showed him the trash can, and said…”Fix it so I can get this can in there!” He did! Mine required reworking the piping for the dishwasher and disposal with a power button. But my garbage can fit! And…as noted above, sometimes the weight on my faucet extender does get caught in the tangle under my sink. Don’t sweat the small stuff. If necessary, lose the drawer.

It's true, I hate disposals and always have them removed. I also hate "smart" stuff. But that's not the point. They, like plumbing and electrical lines, take up space. So take your pick: the space or the "stuff". If you need the rolling shelf as planned, the stuff needs to go.

OK, you've re-stated what I just wrote, except I said if you need what you called "the stuff" (the electrical receptacles) the rolling drawer needs to go.

@kculbers, where did you get the sink cabinet tray? I find that some of the wear/tear/stains under a sink is due to cleaning products tipping over and leaking, so the tray is a great idea.

Hi Chipsa. When I had my kitchen and bathrooms renovated a few years ago, I purchased under sink trays, brand: Xtreme Mats (highly rated). I puchased them from either Home Depot or Lowes. They came in various sizes. They have edges to them. They are well made.

While I know these types of videos can be annoying, this one does show how much you organization you can fit into the small space - maybe more than the pull-out drawer you have.
