To solve a drainage problem I used concrete rubble covered with soil to make a berm against the foundation of a building. I am now wondering if that could be leaching alkaline water to the area downslope where I have planted a rosebay rhododendron. Ferns seem unaffected but the rhodie has yellow leaves. I fertilzed it with hollytone. Is there something I could add to the berm, like super phosphate?
