Free Standing Gas Range

I have a free standing gas range (controls on the back). Will the back control panel act as a heat protector to a quartz backsplash? I know you shouldn't put quartz behind the slide in ranges.

If there is a back it’s designed to go against a wall.

Read the installation manual about clearances.

Well, I actually have - twice! Clearance measurements are listed for side to side and height of stove to range hood but nothing about the back of the range.

HALLETT & CO. thank you; is the back on the stove a sufficient protection for a quartz backsplash directly behind the stove?

A quartz backsplash is incongruent with a standard range with backguard. And scorches with one without it. It’s just a poor choice all the way around.

If the range had a back it is designed to go against a wall. Painted drywall. Wallpaper. Cambria. Tile.
