PPG Swirling Smoke is dark enough to show a contrast to white... Silent Smoke seems pretty light for EXTERIOR, IF you want a contrast with a white. have you sampled the colors?

I agree with Lyn regarding sampling. It looks like Silent Smoke’s LRV is 68 and Swirling Smoke is 60, so both can look pretty light on the exterior. We used SW Repose Gray on our exterior. It’s a bit darker than either of your choices (LRV 58) and it looks very light. Maybe test Swirling Smoke with a white that provides the contrast Lyn mentioned.

Thank you both i did test both and silent smoke is pretty light but not a whole lot different than swirling smoke, somewhat hard to tell with out painting a very large panel haha. Maybe ill just play it safe and go swirling smoke

Online photos can be very deceptive, but the one you posted of Repose Gray is spot on.

I tested 9 different sample cans of grays before finding what I wanted. It can be a process but well worth it!
