I think the bed needs to be moved if possible it makes the space look really busy or you do a wall of drapes all across that wall behind the bed in a color from some new bedding that fits the bed. Waht is the deal with the bed like what is the white and then the dark base ? Was this a platform bed you added a box spring to? You also need much taller bigger lamps .

Since you need to do black out curtains, you might look at doing a beige or linen color and then getting rods that more blend in with your paint so that the black rods for drapes won't compete with the black rods on the bed frame.
