I would go with glass coffee table and glass end tables. I would look for two nice floor lamps. I suggest an area rug with plum in it, cranberry, forest green, navy blue to add some color in there. Then after you choose the area rug, choose an accent color from it for throw pillows or a throw.

What really stands out to me is that all the furniture is heavy and block-y. Even the lamp is. A leggy coffee table and side table, a lamp with some curves, etc would lighten things up a lot.

I agree too much gray may not be inviting. If you can do a different wood that is slightly warmer this could really create a lighter space to the heavy furniture you have like this image..

walls are a light gray but the floors are a medium warm brown. The furniture is heavy loooking but the light color with the pillows help make the space more soothing

Oh please, no more gray--it's so depressing, not to mention overdone.

I'd turn the art the other way and hang stacked one on the other.. Turn coffee table the other way as well. Remove 2 tables and add 2 floor lamps on each side of facing sofa.(lamp base in wood or black with gray shades). Gray throw pillows.
