And Then There Were Five

This has been an unusual spring for us in the northeast. There have been many springs with more serious, early heat waves, but those usually relapsed into cold temperatures. This year, has been warm, but without the scorching heat. The result has been unusual blooming combinations as every plant has its own idea of when it should flower.

As usual, the first rose to bloom is R. primula.



Followed closely by R. hugonis


Then come the surprises.
