Usually folks want a flat surface next to the bed for books, glassses, phone etc and thus the table lamp - if you are wanting floor lamps does that mean no bedside tables?

Ill be honest. i hate cords that you can see dangling fron a nightstand. That eliminates a nightstand with shelves. The idea is to place floor lamp between bed and nightstand with most of the chord hidden behind bed. My bedroom is large so space is not an issue.

First thought is yes - the floor lamps and bed post would fight with each other.

There are wireless lamps/sconces, if that is the main issue, there are also ways to hide cords.

Having a floor lamp doesn't seem practical, will look odd and you also lose the practical surface of nightstand.

No. The right night tables will hide a cord. Or your receptacles are badly placed: )

I can think of nothing less convenient than your idea.

Ratherbesewing had the same idea as Ibefore I explored floor lamps. i think I’ll just stick with a solid nightstand(also not yet purchased. It really doesn’t matter where the outlet is. A chord would show on any opening of a nightstand. Drawers and lamp it is!
