Lighting Design Dilemma Bathrooms

Lighting over double vanities with two mirrors.

I am remodeling my bathroom. I am going to have double vanities with a mirror above each vanity. I have fallen in love with some single sconces. The lights on the sconces hang downward. Can I have hang two of the sconces together above each mirror to make in effect a double light? Would it look wrong/weird? I don't have room to put single sconces above each of the mirrors with single sconces on the side of each mirror.

that would look weird. Look for an overhead fixture in the style you like.

If you provide information on how wide your vanity is, how it's configured and how wide the mirrors are people can offer help. Also post a picture of the fixture you want to use. Per Lyn, it might not be possible to use what you're interested in, but there are thousands of different light fixtures to choose from.
