Mislabeled rose: who is she?

I bought one of those wax coated roses at a local garden center a few months ago.
The rose was supposed to be "Papillon rose", Louis Lens' first introduction, so I bought it for the historical aspect.
Well, you guessed, it, she finally bloomed and is very obviously not Papillon.
I initially thought she must be one of the other roses among that garden center's selection, such as Samba (1964 version) or Piccadilly or Kronenbourg or Harmony, but it's not any of those. It seems that the garden center's own supplier must have been behind the mix-up.
The varieties they sell are usually out-of-patent roses from circa 1950-1990 ish.
The orange is very bright and glowy, with a yellow reverse. With sun, the petals change to a more coral color as can be seen in the pics below.
Foliage is dark green and on the glossy side, although it's suffered from sandy rain last night and wind in general, so sorry if that's not evident from the pics. Definitely armed with all kinds of thorns.
Fragrance is in the moderate range and fruity.
I almost threw her out when I realized she wasn't Papillon, but the orange is kind of mesmerizing
Perhaps Color Wonder (Kordes 1964)? That's my best guess so far, but not really sure.
Does anyone have any suggestions for who she might be?

Kordes, Poulson and Meilland roses are often sold with that wax coating here, so any of those might be good hunting grounds if it’s the same over your way, Seaside. Reminds me of Louis de Funès, still popular here, but perhaps too many petals for that?

Yes , I had also considered Louis de Funes, but I agree, this one seems to have more petals... So I'm not sure .

Could your rose be Parfum de Grasse? Michel Adam has bred several HTs in that color range with decent fragrance, another one is Roberto Alagna. I think your plant is a keeper!

I had Roberto Alagna briefly, fantastic blooms but he died after a year from a mystery condition that also took his neighbor Crown Princess Margareta. This is definitely not Roberto.

Parfum de Grasse is a great guess. However I am hesitant because PdG is quite a modern rose compared to what these suppliers typically have in stock: usually it's only those old out of patent HT's and floris, very classic stuff like Blue Moon and Virgo and Mr Lincoln.

Thanks so much for that info on Tropicana!

Although Tropicana lacks the contrasting reverse (per HMF), she is however listed as the parent of Color Wonder! So this might contribute to confirming Color Wonder as the ID... ?

Reminds me of a ketchup and mustard rose. Might be one of those.

Also it looks like you might have some powdery mildew on the foliage.

It reminds me of Perfect Moment. That's one that shows up a lot in our body bags and is old enough like Mr. Lincoln to make it into the "old" category.

Seaside, thanks for posting the link to vivaiferressa.it. They have a collection of some amazing roses! “Josephine Bruce” was a standout. Apparently Hortico carried it at one time, but they are no longer selling roses by mail ..?

There is al a site called nova that has some names and photos of roses i could never get pictures of anywhere else. like my yellow miniature rose. Thanks to this site and nova i finally got a photo of one that looks exactly like mine and figured out what was best to call it. the nova site has a ton of photos of roses. browse around if you are having a lot of trouble finding a picture of what rose you have. very helpful site.
