I had 401 blooms today when I pinched them, so you can imagine there were a lot of first blooms too.

    Voila Francois looks almost perfect. Blackberry Dragon is looking good. Love the colors on Jewel of Jewels and the garden shot is wonderful.

    Yes, Nancy, it is. RFK. I have Kate to thank for Viola Francois, and Jewel of Jewels is a large one as well as good colors. I do like that one.


    Maryl, I deadhead every evening, and you are right, it is a job, but I am always glad in the morning when i take photos.


    Kate, I have to thank you for VF since you were generous enough to share. And your BD inspired me to get it. Jewel of Jewels was a lucky bonus plant a few years ago.

    They are all beautiful daylilies. I love the garden shot. Voila Francois, Blackberry Dragon and Jewel of Jewels tie for my favorite.

    Great garden shot. Wow, Ranger Bob is such a great color!!!! I also really like Crimson Edges a lot. Also nice are Cat. Waitress and Blackberry Dragon.

    Blackberry Dragon is my favorite here. Many of the others are attractive, but knowing they are tender here, I have mixed reactions.

    Jewel of Jewels and Voila Francois really caught my eye, but so many beauties. I recently got Cosmic Kaleidoscope, but it is small and will probably not bloom til next year. Oh, well, I will enjoy the anticipation.

    Mantis, I hate that there is anything you can't grow since your plants are always so beautiful. Thank you Nancy, Cosmic Kaleidoscope can be fussy but it is a pretty one.

    I do grow Catastrophe, and Gimmee makes a nice clump here. Voila is still in the garden, but doesn't thrive here.

    I have see your lovely clumps, Mantis. I am sorry Viola Francois doesn't do well there; it took at least three years to really start putting out a fair number of blooms here. It is annoying when a plant does well in some places but not in our own garden. I have to discard plants here that do not like the heat.
