doorless showers

Planning to do a curbless shower but also thinking to eliminate shower door. How much space is needed to have an opening with no door?

Have you ever used a doorless shower? I had one in my previous house. Seemed like a good idea at the time but it was very chilly using the shower. Went with a door in current house.

Didn’t think that would be an issue since it’s usually pretty warm in the room while showering but something to think about. Thanks!

You will need to design and waterproof the entire room as a wetroom. Not just the shower area.

I have a "g" shaped shower without a door. It has a small curb at the entrance. Based on the water patterns, the curb was 100% unnecesary (and so would have been waterproofing the entire room wich is gross overkill)

Mine is open at the top in a fairly high ceiling room - that's what makes it more chilly vs the no door. New house is larger shower, zero entry and enclosed
