i have one of those precious pots too; mine is cracked but i don't care. so i set mine on my well cover which gets full sun, and then i forget to water it. i'm not surprised when the flowers burn up. so i need to move it to a cozy spot like you have done, and maybe it won't dry out so quick. it IS my own fault that things dry out. lol

Yes, what a beautiful tribute and place to relax. Sometimes these ideas we have get put off for quite some time and when we finally get it done it is all the sweeter. Do relax with the hummers, the weeds will still be there when you get to them. I am woefully behind too.

I did relax for a bit until the sun came a blazing….so it was time to come in and shower. What a beautiful day it was!! Rain forecasted and praying for a good soaking…as it’s badly needed.

I love the contrast of the blue/chartreuse hosta with the hachonekloa. It's beautiful!

The past few season I have become a bit 'obsessed' attracting hummingbirds. I love those creatures and this season we have had good success having Baltimore Orioles at their dedicated feeder. And watching these birds on our property has had the worthwhile effect of me ignoring garden chores to be done...sitting back and "smelling the roses" ;).

Gosh, I wish we had hummingbirds - the best we manage is a large hairy moth -not really the same at all.
