The hall looks pretty narrow. Are you sure you're going to have room for a table? How wide is the hall and how deep are those consoles you're showing? Unless the light fixture makes more of an impression when turned on you might want to look at getting something different. It disappears into the ceiling.

Unless the space is wider than it appears in your photo, I’d just go with the wall art. The shoes need a new home, with or without a table.

Um, the shoes are the dilemma, not table color. If that's the usual landing spot for them, then get a long, shallow table made and put attractive baskets below for each member of your family. Many Etsy vendors can build you a table on spec for less than you'd pay at most furniture stores.

If you're putting in a mirror, then put your art across from it for a double effect.

Here's a Parson's table style. Yours should be no more than about 10-12" deep but as long as you need to be. Get a table in wood that matches the floor. For color, get a runner to place in front of the table.

You could try adding a small console table that's very thin, or try a small shoe storage cabinet.
