The last one with the most color. You can use more color than that.

I prefer the 2nd one, kind of a faded look. it's so personal, whatever speaks to you.

I like the last, you can pull some colors out of it for pillows for your sofa, a tray for your ottoman, art, etc. The room is a little too beige/brown.

Here's my favorite tip about buying rugs online. If you see one you like, order the smallest available. You'll be able to see it in your space without worrying about rewrapping and lugging a giant rug to UPS. (Just make sure the retailer offers free returns.)

I like the last one best. As others have said, you have more color options.

    I like the last one.

I also think the last one is the best.

Another vote for the last one.

It bothers me when a center medallion is not centered. All of these have a center medallion, some more obvious than others. Does that bother you?

I would say I generally agree that I don’t like when a medallion isn’t centered. The last rug’s medallion doesn’t seem too bad. That said, my most recent rug purchases had no medallion for this reason. 😁

There are a couple of issues with your room that should be addressed. You are locating the rug in the wrong direction and not looking at the best size for your room.

I'm assuming there is a FP or TV on the wall all the seating is facing. The ug should be centered on the FP/TV wall and run in the same direction. Not crosswise in the room. Here is the suggested layout. BTW I don't think that small console table and mirror are working for the big blank wall, but that's a topic for a different discussion. The rug should be either 8 x10 or 9 x 12.

I agree about the rug the wrong way and also a softer tone to the rug like Beverly suggested.

    “I think a softer/smaller pattern would create a nicer backdrop…”

    Agree with Maureen.

Got this . is it wrong direction

  • last year

Oh I kinda like that. The soft cream and grey softens the space.

right direction? wish i had differnt couches but not in budget

  • last year

I thought longer side of rug should be side of longest couch??

  • last year

I think the rug direction looks fine, but would center it with the fireplace. Add some space between sofa and loveseat so they're not so close together. When budget allows, replace the throw pillows with a few that are more like soft cream and taupe. The current ones just seem too bright with sofa. Good luck!

LOVE it.. You found the perfect rug.

Seriously, I agree with Boxerpal. I wouldn't have thought I'd care for that rug but it does look great! It looks like it belongs. Enjoy your room.

The third one pictured...looks black. Don't love the ottoman on the field....glass or acrylic would be a better choice. Move the sofa and loveseat back so the legs don't cover the edge of the center pattern.

Onreally want room to be lighter . wonder if lighter sofas would look better ? or a sectional?

Help me find coffee table for space??

  • last year

Can i face couches across from wach other

  • last year

Not sure what you mean, do you mean on either side of the fire place?

  • last year

    Yes facing each other

  • last year

When budget allows consider getting two sofas in lighter neutral color. And yes, they can face each other parallel to fireplace.

  • last year

    Why lighter?
