Pretty. Is the elephant ear a colocasia? If so, those need a much larger space to grow. They can get 4' across and taller than that. I did not start with such a small one, but the one I had a couple of years ago grew very large very quickly.

Mmmm, it is hard to get a sense of scale. I am a bit of a stuffer and squeezer myself but there doesn't look like a lot of depth, as well as width. What size is 'a regular pot'? 5inches? a foot? 5 litres (which would be my absolute minimum for a colocasia, even with daily irrigation). You may find you have some watering issues this summer...but tbf, nothing ventured, nothing gained. Think you are probably the sort of gardener who has to see for themselves...which can be expensive but then again, I tend to learn more from my mistakes than my triumphs.

I agree with the elephant ear being in too small of a space. I'd move it -- it's small now but they can get quite large/tall, and it doesn't look like there's enough space for a good root system to grow. It's either, (a) going to be stunted because of a lack of a good root system, or (b) going to grow tall like it should and topple because of lack of a good, strong, deep root system to anchor it.
