OMG Celery! That’s the same buffet we looked at😂. We got a bid for built in and it’s just not worth the money for this house. Trying to find a really long buffet is challenging. Regardless of the price. Thanks for doing that image. Thats helpful in itself. Looking at darker color is something we hadn’t considered but I think you’re right. Contrast is good.

If you don’t need the storage of a buffet, maybe a nice quality wood bench that can be styled with pillows, small stack of books and colorful artwork above. Definitely agree with dramatic wall sconces on either side of the art.
