Memorial Day blooms

Lots of storms and of course lots more rain last night. Heart of sorrow for those who were in the direct path of the tornadic activity. My daughter was on a river trip in Arkansas but fortunately came home a day early due to impending storms (due in part to worried harrassment from her mother!)

Wow is Caribbean Dark Victory Dark!!!

My Green Inferno will be blooming in a few days. It's third year and finally out of the foliage.

Which Way Jim is eye catching and seems to be blooming well. Works for Me never wins prizes for bud count, but looks a bit scant this year (of course, you have those nasty bugs).

More rain photos and hopefully less bugs. nice shots despite the weather. Deliverer looks like it has some nice clump shots coming. Buttercream looks like it is impervious to the rain, what a nice clump shot.

Happy Memorial Day! Butter Cream makes a bright, cheerful clump, and Which Way Jim stands out to me. Works for Me is also appealing!

Brad, I will be interested in your opinion of Green Inferno. So far, I am not impressed.

Mantis, yes the bugs impacted the bud count on Works For Me as they have on almost every cultivar. Did I not send you Which Way Jim?

Sherry, unfortunately not less bugs. Ugh!! Butter Cream had all those buds ready to open yesterday and I feared the torrential rain might get them but they survived!

Debra. hopefully Which Way Jim will give at least one nice clump shot-it is impressive when it clumps.

Kate, don't you love Butter Cream? I had it, lost it, and got it again this spring. A really nice plant! I used to have Which Way Jim, enjoyed it because it could have different looks. some people like consistency in blooms, I enjoy inconsistency if it is nice, LOL. Not sure what happened to it, did not show up in spring a couple of years ago.
