Palms & Cycads House Plants

Can you help me identify my palm?

Hey guys,

I recently bought a palm from a garden centre here in Dubai, but the tag fell off and now I'm struggling to identify the type of palm it is. From research, it looks like it could be a Strelitzia or Ravenala Madagascariensis, but I could be totally wrong.

Does anyone out there know what type of palm it is?

Sure looks like a Bird of Paradise to me, as is its common name here in the US, so you were on the right track. Here's some info: https://www.thesill.com/blog/how-to-care-for-bird-of-paradise

Well, outside of, Dubai, that is NO palm, it is the White Bird of Paradise (Stelitzia nicolai).

That's a giant white bird of paradise. It's an indoor plant

It's a gorgeous subtropical plant. I overwinter mine in NJ in a frost free garage, no problem. But I wonder how they would actually do outside in the extreme HEAT and drought of Dubai.
