bathroom remodel

We are adding a primary bathroom, primary bedroom and laundry room to our home in order to “age in place”. For now, I’d like to pose some design questions for the bathroom (7’x10’)
We have focused on the attached tile for an accent wall in the shower (7x4) with a bright white, textured tile, for the other two walls. This will be a curb less shower and a built it bench will be on the 3’ wall.
The questions:

  1. I was thinking the floor tile wants to be the same tile within the shower as well as the entire floor. The person at the tile shop was pushing an off white tile (Santorini Snow)- I was hoping for a crispness and was worried that the Santorini snow would dull it.
  2. the only way a decent size vanity (42”) and a tower would work is to have them on separate walls. I was thinking of making them one of the blues found in the accent tile.
  3. the accent tile will be on the 7’ wall of the shower. In effort to stay within budget the tile shop suggested doing a three foot section centered on the wall. For $500, we can do that whole wall with the accent wall
  4. the wall adjacent to the accent wall will be the built in shelf. Should that be in the accent tile or the white tile where it would be on?

I hope these questions make sense. I truly appreciate your guidance.
