They are kind of what weeping cultivars of Buxus would like to be hahaha.

The specimen I saw would probably have looked much better with less crowding and shading.

They are adaptable to a fair amount of shade, although flowering may be limited. And if the tree/shrub itself has no discernable scent, its flowers certainly do! They smell like white chocolate but are tiny enough to skip notice except for their fragrance.

No flowers on this one at present.

Here they flower in February.

I can't remember when mine bloomed (that garden was too long ago). It was just the solid green form and I know it was early in the season but February seems too early. I don't spend much time outside in February :-))
