which bathroom vanity?!

Hey all! So we are renovating our half bathroom and I need help deciding which vanity.

We are installing black and white “checkered” style tiles. Just don’t know what other color to incorporate into the black and white tiles. Help!

Btw any other bathroom vanity suggestions are welcome…going for this style :

black floating vanity
“Carlsbad” floating vanity
natural floating vanity

I would really need to see the space but IMO the black one . Black and white is classic I do however love really simple tile work and then some really awesome black and white wallpaper instead of fancy tile work. Please post a pic of the tiles the layout of them and the space . That way we have context.

Am hesitant to vote for any of you choices without seeing photos of the entire bathroom.

I like the idea of a floating vanity in a small bathroom. I would choose something simpler than the one you posted because the black and white checker floor will be the main attraction. Adding the warmth of wood is a great idea. Keep shopping the floating vanity for something smoother.

Thanks @redryder! Yeah I feel like these ones aren’t “it” either ..just having such a hard time finding the right one!

    These look “simple” to me.

Be careful of the sizes you are looking at. It could be the angle of your photo but that current vanity looks to only be about 30" maybe slightly bigger. You need to maintain a minimum or 15 each way from the center of the toilet to meet code.

I like the simple wood floating vanities for your space .

I was also wondering if you have enough room to pull off the checkerboard with a 12x12. You also have kind of an old world marble choice and a super modern vanity. On purpose?? I found this image with tile like you choose… it’s dramatic and beautiful, but I think you need enough room for the pattern to repeat.

I had the same thoughts..we already bought the tiles but they can be used for the upstairs bathroom in the future … what do you think about these …might be to match with the vanity though…

(Not a pro). Is this a powder room, with just toilet and vanity? And you can see it from the front door? I’d be more inclined to have a low key floor (same as hall if possible) and add some interest in the back wall. I like the grey and white better, if you’re really set on checkerboard.

I think you also need to look at the rest of your home and see how the bathroom relates to the other rooms.

Black and White is more dramatic, where a black and white floor with wood is softer, warmer.

For my aesthetics I would choose the natural floating vanity as that would flow better with the rest of my home and the overall feeling of my home.

Post a photo of the tiles laid out so we can see how they look.

Just an FYI- a friend did b&w tiles in her large walk-in pantry when she bought her 1925 house. When they remodeled the kitchen she was thrilled to remove the floor. It was hard to keep clean, which annoyed her. Admittedly, this floor was in a high traffic area (her pantry was a walk-through to her dining room) but it still bugged her. If this is in a small bathroom, that might be easier to keep clean, but the pattern could be overwhelming.

    Looking forward to your pictures.
