I like the black and white you can paint the railing up up above White it will blend with the house and if you want where the upstairs window is you get paint that portion of the railing black so it goes with the windows and then those unique windows will pop and you can paint the post on the main floor White and the door you can paint black Keep It Black and White theme but if you want something more for your door downstairs how about the peacock color blue would be pretty and a good color for the house or a yellow?

I love your charming house! I do find the undersized black shutters too harsh, though, and would consider removing them. I like these muted tones for the front door and window in the gable.
