hi any siding pros can weigh in please ? we are getting our siding replaced with ascend composite by allside, the project is almost done. We have an old house , the old siding was masonite and badly water damaged. we have the dow blue styrofoam as the outermost layer ( existing) they taped any broken styrofoam and they wrapped that in housewrap and then added j chanel, siding, and aluminum wrap to all trim ( replaced rotten areas) and then caulked. i noticed before they added siding they did not tape the windows or anything so i asked, they said they never tape existing windows, only new build windows. they said there was no reason to tape. is this accurate? this is how the house wrap looked around the windows ( photos) . we had replacement windows done at the same time. are we going to have water problems around the windows? The cream trim is the existing original painted wood window trim and they added the replacement windows into there. thanks
