Jay: are you actually seeking the ID or just having a little fun quizzing people? It seems you took the photo from a different site (fun common name though!)

I was having fun sah67. I just learned about this species and it's name. Floyd Swink is a legend in Illinois. I thought it was interesting that he named a plant Obe Wan conobea, because he strongly believed that binomial names should give information about a species, and he wasn't keen about plant species being named after people. Hypericum swinkianum was named in honor of Floyd. Unfortunately I wasn't deeply into native plants decades ago, so I never had the privilage of meeting him. I would love to grow this plant. It's closely related to Plantago, and I'm already growing a few different species of Plantago.https://youtu.be/Va9yFRfZHIM?si=Y3gfPlDRBcyMl7Ft
