What a shame about Karen's seedling. The bloom is so very pretty! Your Indian Giver seedling takes after IG.

The seedling is very pretty but I can relate to watching one never increase and give few blooms. I have the space to let them stay but if you are limited in space I can understand saying goodbye. I also agree about Yellow Monkey. It has never reached anywherr close to registered height and blooms are small and nondescript to me. I don’t think I have photographed it since I got it.

I like your seedling, like the midrib! Yellow Monkey is great here, best in the north? I had no idea it did poorly for you more south than me.

I like hearing about the experiences with Yellow Monkey. I remember seeing it when Edward posted here, and although I'm not a UF fan, it did get my attention. Well, it is yellow I guess (one of my favorite colors).......I like your Indian Giver seedling. The white mid ribs are an attractive look on it..............Maryl

I especially like your seedling X Indian Giver. Some of them just prefer different climates. I gave Indian Giver away for that reason although it seems to do well most places.

Yellow Monkey was not that appealing to me, and it varied in its vigor each year. One year it would have so many blooms I would decide to keep it, next year fewer fans and shorter. Rinse and repeat, til last year it disappeared completely. I did not cry a tear over it. Such a shame about that seedling, looks so nice with a white edge.

I don't see much scape density on the IG seedling, but the color is nice.

What grows well in one persons garden may not in anothers so it is always a wait and see when adding plants.
