Acclimation of the flooring material is described in the installation instructions for your particular product. The key requirements are that the temperature of the flooring should be the same as the indoor temperature; the moisture content of the flooring and the subfloor should be within 4%

@ Charles Ross Homes Thank you for highlighting the key requirements. I had skimmed through those documents prior to see if there was anything about waiting for a certain time of year to do the acclimation, but did not spot any. I realize now that acclimation is more about where (i.e. job site) to do the acclimation than when, and the when is more of a factor in installation. For example, regardless of when I did the acclimation, it might be a bad idea to install the wood during the lowest temperatures of the year only for it to buckle in the Summer.

The floor should be installed when your hvac and humidification/dehumidification system is operating.

Yes, that's the point of acclimating floors to indoor--controlled--conditions. Maintaining those same conditions year 'round will help to stabilize hardwood floors, wood cabinetry and wood trim.
