Brand New Babies in the Seedling Patch

I'm pleased with some of the brand new seedlings from the past two days.

Blue-Eyed Bandit X Twirling Tower - This was what I hoped would come out of this cross - a good UF with a bluish eye. It has 11 buds in its first year to bloom.

Promises Kept X Seedling "Nadine" has a large 7-inch bloom.

(Natalie Antoinette X Symphony of Praise) X Bubblegum Queen is also in the 7-inch range.

Tides Roll In X All Things to All Men #3

Born to Reign X (Mayans' Dawn X The Ultimate Sacrifice) has a nice tall scape with four-way branching and 13 buds. The bloom is about 6 inches.

Gypsy Cats kid X Absolute Ripper #2 has a very tall scape that may be taller than my yardstick.

Blood of the Martyrs X The Ultimate Sacrifice #2

These next seedlings have bloomed before, but were not pictured last year.

Judy's Jewel X Bubblegum Queen #3 had thrips really bad last year and never took a good picture. This year she's having clean blooms. This is the roundest and the smallest of the three sibs. The other two are 7+ inches, and this one is 6 inches.

(Insider Trading X The Ultimate Sacrifice) X (The Ultim. Sac. X Red Edition) - Baby rabbits ate the buds last year.

The Blue Eyed Bandit seedling is showing some blue. Must be nice to have one give you what you hope for when you cross! The reds are so pretty. Just can’t beat a red with white edges! Judy’s Jewel seedling is pretty with the clean blooms. It must be exciting to see new beauties!

Another batch of beautiful seedlings. It looks like you are getting some good bud counts in the first year. I like the Natalie Antoinette seedling--such a delicate pink! I also like Gypsy Cats X Absolute Ripper too. I like the rich color and watermark of The Blood of the Martyrs seedling.

I like the first three seedlings the best today. I am a fan of the watermarks and soft colors. Love the blueish tinge on the first seedling.

Nan and Sherry - I'm a fan of soft colors like the (NA X SOP) X BQ. Bubblegum Queen tends to throw highly saturated bright rose pinks, but I've really liked to two lighter, softer pinks that have bloomed this season.

Brad - I was doing a happy dance when I saw that Blue-Eyed Bandit seedling. I love everything about it, and I hope it will improve it's performance in the future.

Wow! some beauties! I really like Blue-Eyed Bandit X Twirling Tower is lovely with delicate cooring. Tides Roll In X All Things to All Men #3 is different and I like it. Tall is good and gypsy Cat is good genes so Gypsy Cats kid X Absolute Ripper #2 is a winner. As usual, not a stinker in the bunch.

Kay - Thanks for mentioning Tides Roll In X All Things #3. I do think it has a unique look, It will be interesting to see how it might change with more heat.

Debra, your brand new ones are all beauties! And not brand new ones too. In fact the last two are my favorite. Lovely pink and form on JJxBQ #3 and especially nice watermark on Insider Trading x etc.
