IMO the bed and chair help fulfill that style, but the entertainment unit is ................so NOT stylish! It brings the concept to an abrupt halt. Why do you need an 'entertainment unit'??? Definitely NO white nightstands. The purple duvet should be a dustly plum duvet IMO.

This would have been the perfect location for the framed TV screen, to minimize the appearance of the TV.

It's hard to tell by your photo, but it looks like the bed is too close to the window. Would you be able to centre it on the wall between the window edge and the corner? Shift your entertainment unit down to match. I would suggest crisp white pillow covers and a white throw at the end of the bed to bring balance to the room and tie in the entertainment unit.

The tulip print is beautiful not so much your bedding. I always start bedroom decor with fabulous bedding then all the rest is done to work with thta. A dorm room looking bed cover not it.How about something like this not too girly .

What nightstands would you suggest?

@nelliebean yes, the window is too close but the bed is centered on the wall and we can’t move it over bc then there’s not enough room on the other side bc of where the door is.
I’m actually hoping to get help with new bedding; this was just a stopgap until I find what I want.

@Fran Gil Thank you—this is what I was trying to describe. I do wish it came in more of a “dusty plum” that @BeverlyFLADeziner suggested. Not sure if this one is too lilac or not. It’s definitely a contender!

Thank you-yes, the bedding in my pictures was a stopgap until we find bedding we like. I love what you shared by my husband doesn’t like so much floral on the comforter. Definitely in the right direction though.

It's too bad the bed can't move over a bit. If it's an option I've changed the door swing on doors to allow for better furniture placement in the past. I would look for nightstands that match your entertainment unit to bring balance to the other side of the room. I liked the tulip bedding Patricia suggested, so something like that minus the flowers would be nice.

Could he live wit this look look for a lilac with bit of brown in it it becomes much more masculine or choose a light green for the walls

Does the top half of the entertainment unit lift off? I think the room be would be better off without the towering shelves.

I think well designed white nightstands are a good choice to help tie in the entertainment unit and their lighter feel will work nicely with lighter bedding, which is the direction I’d go.

Suggest a softer/dusty shade and use as an accent vs it taking over the bed. As well, the more simple the bedding, the easier it will be to find accessories, especially a rug.

They probably could come off and, after hearing everyone's suggestions, in retrospect I would opted just for the bottom piece. However, since it's a brand new unit, we are going to keep it intact.

Thank you--I totally agree and contemplated covering up that window to bring balance to the room but it was both too costly and shot down by my contractor, husband and every other person /=
